From Philip Buchwald:

This one is another kit bash using an Accurail six panel steel end box. It is based on your article in RMC of the resin Frisco car. The conversion consisted of replacing the fishbelly underframe with a ship channel center sill, and adding diagonal braces on the end panels. I also added the usual brake rigging to the underside. Not much else was really needed. The kit is almost a dead ringer for the Frisco car. The decals are a mixture of Champ dimensional data and Walthers Frisco box car decal set. I didn't have a lot of confidence as I was putting on the Walthers decals, as they have a matte finish and seem rather thick. However, after a couple of applications of decal solvent, they settled right down and I'm very happy with the results. You'll notice that the door is a corregated steel type instead of the wood type which is correct for this car number. The Walthers set didn't have enough zeros to put it into the later number series, so this one must have had the doors replaced sometime during its life! (I live out in the boonies, and getting a decal set can be a big time lag! Not any hobby shops out here!)
